Song of the Week...and other announcements

SONG OF THE WEEK As we head into another week of remote learning, I was thinking about what I would be doing with some of our Whittier Wildcats at this time of year. At this point, the whole school would probably be focusing on songs for our Spring SLAM- our performances featuring Spanish, Library, Art, and Music. The third graders' SLAM is entitled "This Land was Made for You and Me". Students had already started learning the song, but I thought it would be a lovely song to sing this week. My singing partner sang this song for his 3rd grade spring concert at Mann last year, so he volunteered to join in. Click here to sing along OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS Chorus members- we will be having a lunchtime Zoom this week at 11:30. WHITTIER SONG OF THE WEEK

Hello Wildcats I have decided to start up a remote learning version of our song of the week! Every week at Whittier K-5 students learn a song as a school. Sometimes students sing these songs with their siblings at home or we sing them when we gather as a school. This week I'm sharing a video for "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean" a song that has a fun movement break game to go along with it. Some students have played this with me during indoor recess. Have fun singing!                                             CLICK HERE
